A normal functioning system for going on one year has been glitchy in the past couple weeks, with no changes in the system. Comcast Internet, three Eeros located around the house. Client reports connecting, getting dropped, then trying to log in again, it requires a password, and won't accept the house password.

This seems to happen on guests devices, but not the clients devices. I'm not asking you to troubleshoot the whole system, but what would cause a particular unit to get bumped and not accept a password that has previously been used to login successfully?

If "Guest" access is the only issue and seems to be happening on one particular device, what model is this device? Could this be a roaming issue and the device is latching on to a neighbor's WiFi?

Any chance there is a second wifi network with the same SSID?

Someone re-enabled an old one or wifi from the cable company?

First thing I always used to ask, and from my own personal experience, is what devices are the customers using?  Apple products?  I always immediately look at the router for TKIP/AES.  If it's TKIP/AES.  Move it to simply AES, WPA2.

I'm thinking these are Apple products, and with the most recent updates, the devices simply won't tolerate the TKIP anymore..But I'm grasping at straws as I don't have any experience with Eero at all.

Is the radio still functional in the Comcast gateway? If so, they may be moving beyond its range and if its encryption key is different from what's used for the EERO, this will happen. It may also be that they connected to the EERO first and they're moving out of that range. The "easy" way to check this is to find the locations where the devices drop off and turn off the EERO, then see if the message shows up.

Since the client's devices have been connected to other SSIDs in the house, I suspect the guest devices will show this until they connect to the Comcast gateway or that gateway's radio has been disabled.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

It's Eero, so 3 APs with the same SSID, all broadcasting 2.4 and 5. No gateway, a Surfboard modem, Routerboard, and Eero. No guest network, just the main SSID. Client has Apple phones and iPads, not sure about the guests. I will ask.

He mentioned it worked on one floor better than another. Maybe one Eero is tanking. Shows up good on the app.

I had a guy working in a customers house ask me about his Eero system at home. He described the exact same symptoms. He claimed he called Eero multiple times, and they finally admitted there was in issue with some iOS devices connecting - take it for what you will.

I've deployed maybe 4-5 Eero systems and they've all worked fine. I do have one that's dogging me. It's comprised of an Eero Pro 3 access point system. Two of the access points are hard wired, and one is wireless. The wireless unit is about 30 feet away from the one of the wired units, on the second floor. Even though it shows great signal, when an iOS device jumps to the wireless unit, it sometimes loses internet from some reason - it's sporadic as well - of course this issue crops up after I leave.
