I have a re-occuring issue with with Sky+HD boxes (a UK satellite TV set to box).
I set the boxes to be "always on" which i think might be causing part of the problem has anyone else had this issue, does setting the boxes to "Eco" (auto standby) when not in use help cure the issue ?
Does anyone happen to know the IP commands for the "Sky" button to wake the box out of stand by if i power cycle it remotely ? I want to set a rule on my PDU to ping the Sky box's IP and if it dosnt repsond power cycle it then after 90 seconds send a "Wake command"
I havnt seen this happen with SkyQ yet, i wondered if anyone has come across a similar issue with SkyQ ?

Your asking about a uk device on a predominantly American populated forum.
Sky boxes are sky boxes. Shit.
They have become better over time, but they are not without their faults. They need rebooting regularly.
I have no problem turning them on via IP via my RTI systems.
