I have a client who has one of these and it does not power on. It's about 10 years old.
Fix it or pitch it?

800 lumens, ten years old. Replace with a new vplvw45es at around $2200 sell price to customer and he's got a warranty, more brightness. You can go up from there, but I see good money after bad in this one.

Skip the 45... he paid $10k+ for that one, sell him the 385, then he can have 4K for just 8K.

I like Rob's idea. But I will say that we have upgraded quite a few of those older Sonys with the 40/45/50/55, and they were all blown away how much better they are than what they spent double, triple, or quadruple on, back in the day.
Any of the current Sony lineup will blow the 100 out of the water. You cannot go wrong.

Concur with Rob if the customer wants to continue on quality street. If they simply want to get out alive, the 45 makes sense.
