try turning off firewall and or virus protection.
If you can't be good, be good at it.

That’s typical. I find it’s a process of clusterfukk and wizardry generally to get UniFi to setup properly.

What method are you using iOS app, chrome browser and unifi.unbt.com, does it have a cloud key? Up to date?etc

What controller are you running? If its a 4 year old deployment, Its certainly not going to know what an AC Mesh access point is that was just release recently.

Update the existing system first. You'll want to do this anyway because the newer software fixes issues and tightens some security.

I agree with everyone else that your first step should be upgrade the controller software if you haven't done so already. If you have, what does the network topology at the sight look like? Is it flat? If not, you may need to pre-configure the access point on a different part of the network.

Ok so yes I needed to update the controller, and viola` everything worked.
I should have done that first but I was pressed for time and wanted to get the post out hoping for a quick response.

Thanks for the help

Recently had a mesh AP refuse to fully adopt. Had to turn off fire wall on my computer. Strange because I never had that issue before.

How many of you buy the cloud key and leave it onsite when you deploy?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
