Thinking of ordering a force field 5 for my personal system. Anyone with any experience with them good or bad? Thanks in advance

What are you using it for?

the FF5 is a very musical subwoofer for its pricepoint. But isnt going to know your socks off in a theater/movie scenario.

sorry that probably would help. I listen to primarily movie with some music. I would say 75%-25%. MY current system is 2 polk audio rt2000's a polk audio cs-1000 and 4 polk rt 55's for surrounds. I'm running the system with an Integra 50.2 but powering the front R&L speakers with a Niles 2100 amp. Current sub to be replaced is a DCM TB1212

Can I ask why the Niles amp on the front, when the Integra is going to be about the same power (even with the overhead).
I would have a hard time believing there is any sound quality improvements doing it this way. If fact; since it is a multi channel system and the center is powered differently, I would be much more inclined to believe it is detrimental to the overall sound.

I can not give you any advice on the Golden Ear FF5. But reading a few reviews and looking over the specs, it should blow that POS DCM sub away - both in output and SQ.

One more thing: Noticing the name... no RBH speakers? LOL!

we do a good amount of GE. The FF5 is a great sub, but not what I would call musical. I've almost completely moved to the SuperSubX. It's compact, handsome and an amazing performer. That piece is only $250 more. I'd consider it if I were you

I have not heard the GE subs, but if musical fidelity is what you are after then I would suggest a look at JL.

FYI the Fathom F110v2 has been moved to the E-Sub 10. Same components as the Fathom F110 but without the room correction.

Yeah I love RBH speakers but unfortunately we are no longer a dealer. I have been itching to replace this dcm 12 forever but it's literally like the first piece of home theater gear I bought and its going on almost 20 years of working without an issue. The Niles amp is from when the Integra initially had the HDMI issue and I had no sound and threw the amp in so I would at least have some audio and then after Onkyo repaired it I just never rewired it.
