Thanks everyone who chimed in. My local Rep has been great over the years and kept me current with software as I do quiet a few takeover jobs where the Sparky got as far as the certificate of occupancy and never came back for follow up or engraving. Even had a few redesigns... I've programmed both Lutron and Vantage and was just wondering about their business practices and in particular how Vantage was after the whole Legrand thing.
Lutron was alsway upping our yearly commitment and requiring me to go back to Philly for Lighting training, Then Drapes, Then integration.... like each branch of what we did needed a special 3 day training. I know things have changed and there are regional trainings, but then there's also this "splintering" of Ra/Ra2/Ra Select/catessa.... with few upgrade paths or cross pollination of parts. Just getting too cumbersome and changing too often for my tastes. YMMV
Vantage looks cleaner from a product and vertical integration view.. I'll be talking to them soon. Hope my experience will be as good as you all have said.
Thanks agan.

Stick to the button keypads, lights and shades and you should be fine. They interface with Creston and RTI easily. Leave the rest of the stuff alone.

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other. |
