They have 32 million subscribers at with an average payment of $13.22 per month. I don't think they are hurting too bad. They aren't going anywhere as long as Stern is still there.

Stern is the reason they are still alive. not sure what will happen to SXM when he leaves.

we use it. I call them and complain about costing too much and they lower the rate.

My brides take on XM?

Why pay that kind of money for something I will only use for 20 minutes a day, five days a week?

Rather hear the local FM staiion on the way to and from work.

I’m running in the free trial with the new truck. When it runs out, I may sign up if I can find a deal like the $5 a month plan. If not, I’ll just up the data on my phone and go with pandora. I really only liked the talk radio on XM, but they’ve canceled all the interesting shows.
Civil War reenactment is LARPing for people with no imagination.

I cant stand the sound quality, sounds like you are listening through a paper towel tube, irritates the $hit out of me, didn't even listen to it when it was free with the purchase of my car.

When the hurricanes hit it came up free for a week with a constant donation relief banner on the screen.

I wanted to subscribe for Deep Tracks and be able to listen to Jim Ladd again, but got so irritated with the sound quality I bailed.

That and Jim certainly has not gotten any less opinionated as time goes on.

Have no idea what you are talking about. It sounds substantially better than any other "over the air" service available in any cars/trucks I've had. I like S/XM and listen to it mostly in the van, but hate the costs. Its ridiculous they do a per radio rate and not a flat fee for an account, for both standard radios and streaming.

It sounds like and extremely compressed low bit rate Mp3 to me, instant irratation.
I hear it instantly even in home systems, I can walk into a room and know its XM instantly, and it sucks because I like the programming material and was so excited back in its infancy, was hoping for a little Higher Fi.
