It took me 45 minutes to cancel my service for the radio in my truck that was flooded. They make dealing with any cable or sat company a breeze. If Kim Jung Un would point those missiles at some of those Indian call centers, he’d be an American hero.

Of all the customer service I've dealt with in the last 20 some odd years. SiriusXM is by far the worse.

They are so bad that the second place worse customer service is a God send compared to SiriusXM.

If I were ever to get them again, I will use a prepaid credit card or something like that. So when I want to cancel the services, I just stop paying that card instead of calling them.

It's been 2 years since I've canceled and I still receive an offer from them every couple of months.

About half way in I started thinking about just calling my bank and seeing if they could block XM from charging my card each month. But I figured that would just cause them to hit my credit report

Call them up, let them know you are recoding the call, then tell them you are cancelling your service. You informed them. If they don't cancel thats on them.

on the contrary you can use them to your advantage and get Sirius/XM for less then 3 bucks a month. put it on your calendar 2 days before its set to renew and start all over again.

Also I have always had luck buy asking to speak to an american. its law that if a US based company uses an overseas call center they MUST patch you through to an american.

someone answers the phone in a foreign accent I immediately request to speak to an american.

There is no such law.
Although some companies do have a policy to do so

I agree Fins.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

Did you see the video where my truck is visible sitting in 4’ of water? Even at $3 a month, I currently have no use for their service. I may do that when I find a new vehicle. But even so, I was fed up with the service any way.

Most XSM customer service agents I've spoken with are from Eastern Europe.

I bought a new car this past year and it came with a free year.

Already had it in the old car - I had to 'sign up' as a new account, to get the free year. I'm certain they are really hurting for customers. I think they will shutter within a few years.

Tell your clients to complain often, and XSM will lower the annual price. I learned this after 10+ years. Until a couple years ago, I was paying $300/year for home and car.

I bought two new cars within months of one another. I tried to create a single account for both cars but couldnt make it through the Malaysian support call. I finally just cancelled both accounts. I told them i sold both cars and didnt need service anymore.

What did you not like about the service?

For me, I couldn’t stand listening, rather trying to listen, to a talk station and it going out due to whatever. Most of the time was a physical blockage of trees or a hill. But there were times when it was a clean shot to the sky and still got a patches where the audio cuts out.

When I called to cancel. The rep literally asked me if I had tried the online station as that could have a better reception.

You just need a better truck.

No, this is not my truck. I have no doors and when I go thru water, I get as wet as the HUMVEE.

Of course I did (even texted you) I was just saying their rediculous call centers CAN work for your advantage in renewal circumstances. Even when you get an American it can be tough to cancel.

Like stamp said I’ve gone as far as to tell representiges I’ve sold the car. For home services I’ve had to say I’ve moved etc etc. just left PNC for BOA for a nice financial bonus, when I walked in the first time to close the account they gave me the spiel blah blah blah. I left and went to another branch, told them I was moving and PNC wasn’t near where I was moving. No questions, was out in under 3 minutes.

It has gotten rediculous trying to end services. Because these representatives get hit for not retaining a customer they get downright desperate. I’ve been hung up on so many times when I just want to cancel.

Yeah, they suck. Recently went to add a car, just to realize I was still paying for an old home radio that I haven't used in years. My fault, however, to charge me $99 to stop that payment and add another vehicle is a scam! If it didn't take them an hour to explain their convoluted plans and family discounts, or if they would make it easy to make changes online, it wouldn't cost them much to make changes.

I guess when your are the satellite radio monopoly, you can do and charge whatever you want! Let's see how their attitude changes as people nix the XM radio and use their phones to stream other music sources.

A few months ago, I noticed many channels are now offline, for part of the day. They are really hurting for money.
