Yamaha RXA770
RTI AD8x
Sonos Connect - Analoge output split to amp and receiver

I thought I had this all figured out but I guess not. Why must the Yamaha add delay even to an analogue input. I understand that party mode should get rid of delay between Yamaha main zone and zone2 but the problem is I have an adjacent zone on the multi-room amp. When I turn party mode on there is still a delay between Yamaha and multi-room amp. Only way I can turn off delay is by setting Yamaha to Pure Direct. It turns the subwoofer of and I would assume it also turns off bass filtering on the main room in-ceiling speakers.

Am I missing something here? Maybe there’s a way of keeping subwoofer on when in pure direct? I really would like to avoid adding delay devices

have you tried just STEREO in zone one? That usually works for me, on Integra amps though.

YesTried stereo mode and all other surround modes. The only thing that gets rid of delay is pure direct

It's the only thing I dislike about yamaha.

I had a project that it was a big issue for a customer and ended up throwing in an Extron DSP just to use the audio delay feature for the stereo only zones. Pretty sure it was only 100ms difference between the zones.
