Try removing the power on commands that your sending to the cable box. I had a similar problem out of nowhere and I had to remove the commands otherwise it would lock up.

First I’ll disable Ethernet ports. Then I’ll just remove that menu exit stuff and start there. Since the box is always on screw it. It’s fine if the screensaver shows up. It’s cut and dry and says on screen press menu to watch so they can figure that out. If that doesn’t do it I’ll try leaving closet door open and lower temps just to see for a few days.
