Does lettering your trucks help biz?

I just upgraded to a white 2017 chevy colorado crew cab so I can put my company logo on.

Has having a nice new truck with your logos on it helped you ?

If you're driving it for work, might as well. I had my Sprinter completely wrapped. Can't hurt.

I have gotten a few jobs from my transit being lettered, I actually finished a job today that called me because they saw me parked on their street.

Makes it more legit in the eyes of the IRS too. Just be sure to check your zoning or HOA rules first...some may ban work vehicles parked outside your residence and once you wrap the truck it goes from Soccer Dad status to manual labor dude in their eyes.

Dave,
You might see my newer trucks with just our logo now. I honestly just use this now as recognition on a job site (in case we need to move trucks) or just so a client can recognize who's pulling in their driveway. I'm done with the company info, number, website, etc. I was just getting too many people at gas stations like "I just bought this Vizio at Costco, can you hang it for me?" type of stuff, which doesn't fit our firm. Also, driving into the city lettered sucks. No FDR or West Side highway (from Parkway)
Peace-

Yup, many times.

Just make sure to add the "snooty", "high-end only" or "shit don't stink" before any AV mention in your business name or logo (if applicable).... geez...

We get a lot of call, "hey, I saw your truck in my neighborhood......." I highly recommend it! We go all out and fully wrap the vans. That may be a little much if you drive it personally too.

Aren't there added insurance costs when going from just another white van to a van with a Brand on it? Or is this an issue of never telling the insurance company?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Yes, insurance costs increase when a vehicle is used for commercial purposes! Honestly, even if it brought 0 customers, I'd still do it just because it is way more professional!

Insurance is more for a van that you declare is for business purposes than a van declared as being simply for personal use. All of us should AT LEAST be getting insurance for business as a contractor or artisan. As I understand it, the price is higher when the van has signage, simply because signage identifies it as a target more likely to have valuable contents than a plain old van.

I knew a guy in the 1990s who did antennas well into his seventies. (In his memory I'd like to show his picture and a youtube video he made. Let me just warn you by saying that whenever he met someone, he said "don't worry -- cancer isn't contagious.")

Nobody ever stole ANYTHING from his van. It ran quite well but looked like a piece of crap from the outside. Perfect camouflage!

Oddly my work truck was cheaper when I insured it as a business owned truck with a logo on it than when I was insuring it as a personal vehicle.

Some don't because clients don't want to advertise that expensive electronics are entering the house -- worry about increased potential for theft.

The only calls I get (one man shop) is from drivers wanting to report a crazy driver on I-25. :-) I always tell them that we'll investigate it.

I spoke with my insurance company they said logos don’t affect the price.

I picked up the truck tonight so I have some time to decided what to do.

Due to unfortunate (lame township) circumstances im stuck and have to drive around in a truck. its a Cadillac compared to a van but its not the proper vehicle for our industry. I had no choice but to logo my truck to legitimize it. I had lettered in the past but received nothing, this being said, I have received 3 inquiries from my truck and has led to a job worth 12k... Not a bad ROI.

How do we post pics now that photobucket is gone? I would be happy to post pics. Remember, LESS IS MORE! mine is super simple and to the point. I dont even have a phone number, just my website!
