Do you think it was Ernie or TSS that did that job?

Great find. Reminds me of the Jetsons, Disney attraction(forgot name). Amazing how quickly everything activates. No rebooting necessary, no firmwait updates. And such happy clients, no HDMI.

Trying to figure out when this video was made. One comment asked if it was 1960, another thought 1957. Anyone have the Google fu to figure this out?

It was the GE Pavilion "The Home of Tomorrow" (I think).

GE Pavilion with the Westinghouse Electric Home?
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

A famous tenor sax player of the 1940s, Coleman Hawkins, was embarrassed by the solos he played in the 1920s, so he'd tell people "that's not me, that's my father." My father was an aerospace engineer; yeah, this home could have been done by my dad if he hadn't been busy making things to hold communications satellites while a TWELVE FOOT subwoofer shook the living hell out of it to be sure it survived launch.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

The colors used in that house remind me of Johnny Carson's drapes: they were sort of neutral and okay in color, but they looked good in black and white, too.

And oh, the things that are wrong in there! Did you see how hard she had to push to close the hamper door? How needlessly small the washing machine hole was? How the camera or a light was to the left of the couple, but the video (called "photo" here) on the monitor was taken from the right?

In the weather center, the meter that shows wind direction looks EXACTLY like a meter that came with a once-a-month packaged science project subscription I had when I was in 8th or 9th grade. And love that drum graph recorder!

When you think about how difficult it would be to change the function of one of those nice lever switches, or to add any function at all, suddenly soft buttons and programming are just really REALLY neat!
