 Hi guys,

I'd appreciate it if you'd take a short 7 question survey that will help me, help you!

I'll tell you one thing: I hate it when a web page proposes something and has a button that says "Let's Go," only to have that click take me to a page that talks AGAIN about that thing, in this case a survey, and has a button that says "Let's Get Started," which actually starts the damn thing. Why isn't once enough?

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Sorry that clicking 2 buttons has caused you to go into a conniption.  The reason for the multiple clicks is that some people who might be taking the survey may not know who I am or what I do and aren't getting to the survey from this site.

But in the hopes that I can contribute to the atrophy of your fingers, I've removed one of them...Good luck fat fingers.

Well....

Short lived visit for me. Had I known it was going to be about having a website, I wouldn't have bothered.

Don't have one and don't really need one, unless you can build me a website where people will send me bottle of wine....;-)

It’s actually not about websites, it’s more about marketing your business, and areas that you might like to know more about....

But you wouldn’t know that because I deleted the first portion explaining that because “Fat Fingered Ernie” couldn’t handle 2 clicks on his computer., it made his ovaries ache!

Hmmm. When he asks us to participate he doesn't tell us what it's about. When he decides to remove an unnecessary step he removes the one that would tell us if we care what the survey is about. Apparently, communicating with his audience isn't a requirement.

Done.

Thanks for all the help so far man. The new sites have been incredible and are totally working.

ROI in less than a month for both (already I know).

Hasbeen: RC member for 10 years. Maybe humiliated me and CE Pro a few times but generally hasn't harmed a whole lot of people here. Probably helped a few.

Does it really hurt to humor a colleague? Take the damn survey, maybe provide some constructive criticism on how he might structure it differently to improve his prospects.

"I'd appreciate it if you'd take a short 7 question survey," he asks of cohorts he's known casually for 10 years.

They guy's a FRIEND for gosh sakes.

I read privacy statements. As a result, I typically ignore this sort of survey because it is usually done through a "free" 3rd party site that collects data from the respondents. Due to lack of time, I did not check out the above survey.
