KOT mentioned Xfinity mobile in another thread, prompting me to start a fresh thread to hear any views on that. Pricing would save me a lot vs. Verizon 5 lines unlimited, as I could use just 3 lines for phones, buying 1 unlimited and 2 by the gig, then connect my 2 tablets by hotspot.
KOT raises the question of how it handles hand-offs when it sniffs Xfinity wi-fi. I wonder if there is a danger of it prioritizing a poor/low speed Xfinity wifi connection over a good Verizon-network LTE signal.
Interested in any information or speculation from you guys...

I would love to hear real world experience with this. Verizon seems to be the best wherever i travel but the monthly cost is annoying especially now that phones are not subsidized. I recently removed my iPad from the plan because i hadn't used it in 9 months.

In June with 2 phones it went from $203 to $178 when i switched over to the unlimited plan. This month its $158 after dropping the iPad. So $45 difference. 2 iPhone 8's is $60 a month for 24 months so my bill goes right back up to over $200. It would be $20 more than that if i kept my iPad on the plan.

It runs on Verizon’s network. Being in Comcast’s back yard they are pushing it really hard. Searching the local forums and people seem pleased. I’ve read numerous things that say it does not hand off if you are on a phone call. Which isn’t a problem if you are on cellular when you take/receive a call, but would be if you are on your home WiFi and walk out the front door.

I’m waiting a few more months before I take a look at it closer. I’m moving my wife’s account to mine and my bill will be similar to Macs.

I just found out that they do not offer wifi calling yet - counter-intuitive as they are the wifi guys, but they don't have that functionality in their Verizon carrier contract yet. They say they are hoping to have it by year end, but that's a no for me until they do, as I have lousy cell signal at home and am always on wifi calling with Verizon.
