OK, the question that has to be asked before answering any of your questions, why is the equipment mounted in a weather proof box outside?
Sometimes we do things not because it's the right way, but because there isn't another option. I have a similar setup that I posted about back in the beginning of the summer. On a property that is basically a private family RV park, the meter, breaker panels, and telco demarc are mounted outside. I have two weatherproof boxes on the same board. One box has a power supply and UPS to power the telco fiber box and a wifi router. The other box has an Arlos camera Bridge.
I guess it's mounted that way because that's all the other company felt like doing. They saw a preexisting spot (well, someone did, I don't know if it's the company that currently supplies the wifi) they could mount a box to and just thought it was convenient (there isn't an indoor option). Maybe it's because it was closer to their source, which I believe is one of the cable companies here. I'm not sure what that meter is actually for, but I think it might be a property meter, something that power for things such as landscape lighting, streetlights, etc, goes through. Regardless, I thought this might cause an interference issue. Someone mentioned that there are in house cans mounted on the other side of power meters...well at least there is often either wood and insulation and/or concrete in the way. Here, there's just the backs of the boxes themselves and a few inches of airspace.
