Maybe put in a description of the product and a link?

I don't want to have to google something you want info on?
What is it? What are you using it for? etc, etc

Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side, for God is always right.

Looking forward to learning more about this. It'ss like JAP but only one box needed to transmit and receive. My gut tells me no way the pic quality can be that good. but, we shall see.

Come on.
If you're going to the process of making a new thread, go a little further with some info on the query.

Do these guys make dealers sign a NDA or something?

Nobody and I mean no one has given any reviews or thoughts about this product through several different forums.

Either that or they haven't shipped product. Bizarre considering their video states that they are huge in the hospitality market.

I got a call 2-3 years ago from Eric Smith, Control4 co-founder and CTO, but out of the company by then. I have immense respect for his tech and biz savvy.

He told me these guys were doing av-over-IP totally different and "the right way." and that we should take a serious look at them.

Mind you, I go back 20 years with Eric and He's never called out a co. like that. AV isn't really my thing. I've tried to understand Miravue bc if Eric says it's special, I gotta believe.

This year I finally spent some time with them trying to understand the deal. Indeed, I think it's special technologically (can't speak for their biz practices), much of which has to do with the fact they pack transmitters and receivers into a single compact box, along with microprocessors to create an efficient AV over IP "matrix."

I have a lot of notes from my chats with them. Will post those later.

Just looking at their site, does it seem interesting to you?
Here's the link you want with product data: [Link: docs.google.com]

If any of you would like to review the system, shoot me an email. I can probably arrange for that to happen. [email protected]

Here's the thing. Unless you can guarantee 18 Gbps, you cannot get 10-12 bit color depth and you *will* get banding. So, I would use this -- or any solution like it -- for less important rooms. Do not use it for a media room or dedicated theater.

There is info on their tech sheets:
It says 1080p is being encoded with proprietary H.264 and using 15mb.
4K is coming later this year and will use H.265 at 45mb. It will be 4:2:2 at 10 bit.

Here's the link you want with product data:

???????????????

Well I suppose they want to pass info onto vetted professional perspective dealers only?

It's a simple online application

True, I could sign up for them, but still not having heard of any real world experiences about their product doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies.

I've beta'd plenty of product before based on great promises and looking good on paper, only to find the product is a turd.

The product looks promising but lacks a few features I've happened to succumbed to with VideoStorms Netplay products, especially the virtual videowalls and PiP pop ups/ text overlays, etc.

Just looking for a product with the same features but easier setup than Netplay.

I was really looking forward to Vanco's offering in the video over IP space. Looked fantastic at CEDIA. Haven't seen it out yet and then this little nugget showed up in the inbox. I'm interested in seeing the price points.
