What do you need to inspect? We might not be familiar with what you're asking about, but the overly general description makes it pretty impossible to figure out.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I was thinking of a camera on a flexible shaft for looking into walls and such.

Look up "endoscope." That's what they're calling these things today. I bought one recently that displays on my Android phone. It was about $30.

You say "inspection camera" and I think assembly line inspection of SMT components or the like. A little description is way worse than a good description. Put another way, it's easier to be helpful if you provide a good description at the outset.

If it's really 10mm, that's going to suck.

What do we do as our job and how could we use something like this? Why would you automatically think of an assembly line?

Because it's Ernie!

His mind seems to wander off in a different direction, than most when asked a question, on a site that has to do with the CI industry.

Hell. the guy could want a satellite camera so he can spy on Russia. You MUST be specific. ;-)

went with one off of amazon for like $38 for the iPhone. Creates a wifi network and you connect to that via an app. It works decent. Has an adjustable brightness light on the end. [Link: amazon.com]
