New Samsung TV.

Digital audio output. TV working fine, streaming youtube through the smart hub app.

Issue is I have no audio from the video.

I can hear the clicks from moving the cursor around the screen and when I select on something, but no audio from the videos.  ????

Got it. Change the Advanced settings in the audio menu from Dolby Digital to PCM on the Optical audio out.

what the optical was running into would of been a very important piece of information.

Because the real problem would be that the device you were sending the digital signal to, can not handle Dolby Digital. The reason you had to switch the output to PCM.

TV was not at fault, it was sending the audio just fine.

Interesting. Impaqt recommended telling what all the involved equipment was and you asked why.

If you don't understand why something is behaving as it does, a complete description of the problem is usually needed to see the answer. For instance in this case, the brand and model of AVR might have mattered. Or if you weren't using an AVR, that might have mattered.

I wrote my signature maybe eight years ago after actually counting a THOUSAND times when people didn't tell what equipment was involved in the problem and the solution came quickly after they told us.

Then again, asking a really good question is a bit of art. It helps to think to oneself "if I ask this question exactly like this, what are they going to ask me that will pin down the details of the problem?" Often, if you do that, you'll realize the answer.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
