So I have a customer with a cabinet in-place that he is willing to modify for a larger TV (currently houses a 55" Elite rear Proj). Going to a 65". He wants the LG OLED, and it "looks" like we can hang it (articulating mount) in front of the opening. Should look slick as these units are super slim.... however, there is a "bump" at the lower part of the TV that houses the electronics and connections.
LGs sight sows the dimensions of the TVs and the depth of the bump, but not the width of the bump itself. The pics look like there is going to be about 2-3" of no bump on either side, but again, no actual dimensions. This pic could be for the 70" model and not be representative of the 65" He is looking at the "P" series.
Anyone have real world dimensions?

I have a 65E7P on Display. I think the Soundbar comes off, the overall width of the set is 57.5 and there is 4" on either side from the edge of the TV to the beginning of the bump out for the electronics. So you would need 49.5"s of width to sit the glass flush.

Do be incredibly careful though... we've had clients crack their OLED's by trying to pull them by the side on the articulating mounts even after we told them never grab the sides of the set!

only sell them a B6P. the sound bar does not detach from the tv on the e and g series.

the b6p is the same as the e6p without the stupid soundbar anyway.

the bump at the bottom is only a half inch narrower on each side than the tv. even with the bump, it is still super slim

So which is it, 4" or 1/2" in from each side?
And come on LG, why do you need 11 different 65" models????

Or at least give full dimensions....

Thx guys.

the E7 on my showroom floor is. I literally walked up to it and measured it. I suppose I could take some pictures or a video on tuesday when I, back in the office.

Mounting these on an articulating bracket is close to silly. It has to mount low on the set which makes the thin screen floppy and rotating the soundbar/connection interface/stand to the back from the bottom is a joke because it makes the thin set now thicker than most old school plasmas. What good is a thin TV if it cannot be thin when mounted on the wall?

I don't have an issue with the bottom being thicker (stupid, I agree) as I'm "floating" it in front of an existing built in cabinet. Once the set is up, we'll get accurate measurements and build a drawer unit for below that will match the existing cabinets.
I did need the width of that bump though to see if I needed to modify the existing trim...
So 1/2" it is. Thanks guys.

i wanted to clarify something here. Impact was referencing the new 7 series. I was referencing the older 6 series. he is 100% correct the B7 and E7 have a 4" or so reveal on either side. you can go to the site and the have an above view that shows it plain as day. the older B6 is as i described.
