I worked with Tom Grooms from Villager AV in July/August redesigning his site. Tom has been in business since 2012, and works exclusively in "The Villages" a popular retirement community. VillagerAV website

We've realized some nice results from the site in a short period of time, so I put together a case study to share.

Both links go to the case study. Not sure if thats what you were going for but i expected "VillagerAV" website to take me to the actual site.

Case study is great. I also like the new "Paulryandesign" site.

The Villager site is great. Only thing that jumps out at me is the logo. The white letters with black shadow do not look very good on my laptop. I think plain black or blue text would be better.

Fixed the link.

Yeah, I didn't do the logo.  Unfortunately, a lot of these guys have their vans wrapped,  cards, etc. done with their logos, so I don't touch them because 100% of the time when I do, they tell me to change it back.    So, unless they specifically tell me to do something with the logo, I don't touch it, because they just make me change it back.

There are few things that I noticed.
One of the pages is dead.
Several areas have black text on dark images, making it impossible to read.
Also, on mobile, things like phone numbers don't render well and text over several images is totally unreadable (black/dark on black).

Other than few cleanup items, Paul does amazing work and it looks great.

You shouldn't change the logo. You should instead be able to have a discussion with them about the effect of scaling on logos such as theirs.

I can see that it would look impressive on a van, but when it's really small, as on their web page, it looks funky, like there's a mistake in it. Just don't change it without discussing it first! Tell them you can improve the way it looks on the website while not changing it on the vans!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Leave that logo alone. It's awesome! ;)
