I have a 3 month old installation with a 65" XBR940E series display, Marantz Pre-Pro, and DirecTV Genie DVR being controlled by an RTI XP-6. According to my client, the system started powering up this weekend to the SONY's internal Android Apps screen instead of the HDMI input it's supposed to.

Did SONY push a firmware update that may be causing this? Anyone else seeing this [new] behavior?

TIA

It's possible that Sony did. Put the TV in Pro mode and make those apps disappear.

Yeah, I’ve seen that happen upon software updates on the TV. The update changes the turn-on setting to apps.

Agree with the above comment. Also, we always try to turn off auto updates and only do them when we’re on-site.

i believe simply hitting the home button makes this happen until you hit home again and exit it or select an hdmi input. Seems to always stay in that screen once its entered unless you do that.

i agree turn on pro mode and turn off updates.
