Thankfully I never used it in over 20 years, I didn't do commercial projects, don't know if that makes a difference, but knowing insurance agents like I do, I'm certain that it does.

On a side note, here's something to chew on.  My son got his license a couple of years ago, we put him on our insurance...For our 3 vehicles, I was paying over $800 per month through progressive.  Everybody has a perfect driving record.

I couldn't take it anymore...I started calling around (after a year..Stupid)....better insurance, 3 cars...and just for the helluvit....throw in my homeowners insurance.. $480. per month.  WTF!

When Progressive asked me why I was cancelling, I told them because Flo had raped me.

Back to business insurance...I had my GL insurance through a client of mine...He told me that some companies simply don't like to do business liability insurance and they'll be more expensive...whether that's true or not, I have no idea.

My 1M GL is less than $500. I had Hartford but use Hiscox now because the rates were a little lower. My broker is AMJ out of Indy. If you mention CEDIA they'll know what you mean and you won't have to try to explain what you do. I think all they asked was if I did security or not (I do).
