I have a client that uses optical cable out of TV to feed into AVR.
It's an older AVR that does NOT support digital to analog conversion for zone 2 (headphones from aging husband with degrading hearing).
I need to find a breakout box that will accept Tosslink and break it out to analog RCAs as well as passthru tosslink so that we can retail 5.1 audio to primary zone.

If nothing can be found for sub $250, I will recommend getting new AVR, but am trying to postpone that upgrade until other pieces fall into place in 6-8 months.

Thank you!
It looks like the gizmo you linked only takes 2-ch stereo and converts it to analog, however, in that product's description it listed model VHD-AD3X1 that looks like it'll do exactly what I need.
