With all the talk about their new price I'm really tempted to sign up. But I'm wondering if it's as good as it sounds. and do they have any discounts for families? Or would I have to a subscription for each person?

I see their site is finally starting to work again. When the new price was announced this week, the site crashed.

I've read a bit about them. It looks like they're basically a data mining company that generates their real revenue from selling users info. They operate the movie ticket portion at a loss to get the real gold.

Sounds about right...considering a single movie pass is typically > 10 bucks p/p. Sure sounds too good to be true.

For unlimited movie tickets for $9 a month, I'd consider it. And I think I found there is a $99 annual subscription. My wife already has a pocket full of store loyalty cards just to get regular price on purchases. I don't know what info we haven't already given up any way.

I’ve purchased one item from Harbor Frieght. And it had to go back because it wouldn’t work, as the springs for the batteries were not installed correctly.

I seriously felt like I signed my life away due to their return policy. Never again...

Name, addresss, DOB, phone number and email. The only thing they could skip was email. I should’ve just verbally given my address. As after that I’ve been receiving their damn coupon book. Had to take 10 minutes of my time to call to cancel. Even then, took over a month.

Thankfully I gave them a wrong phone number... I’m sure the police department isn’t happy. Lol

It is about 'who' gets that info and uses it.

If your info gets into the hands of a really bad telemarketer that is calling every number they have for you, every 30-45 minutes, with the call ID being a local number and different every time.
You can get super pissed, screaming your so mad at the telemarketer, but nothing you can do but wait for it to stop one day. Or turn your phone off and not use it for days, weeks, months (however long it takes). Or change your number.
= I guarantee you will change your mind on how important it is to protect your info, when you can.

Google Voice number is your friend for stuff like this. It’s free for gmail users and you can disable the notifications (phone calls, text) and not have worry about your phone blowing up.

If you really want to change it, it cost $10 to change the phone number.

I use mine all the time to make CL transactions. If any of them goes sour, I don’t care. I’ve had my cell phone number for nearly 15 years and have received very few spam calls. So far, over a year, the google voice number hasn’t either. But when it does, I just don’t care.

And now that the iPhone allows me to use the native Phone app to call using the google voice number. I’m even happier. For all you folks who have iPhone, you’ll have to wait until iOS 11 is released for that feature.

I get at least 4 or 5 of those a day. I've already given up on beating them, and only answer numbers that are in my contacts list. If the caller is legit, they will leave a message.

My car warranty needs to be renewed, even though the factory warranty from Nissan still is good, my nonexistent credit card is in good standing but the interest rate is eligible to be lowered (I have no credit cards), and I'm eligible for a free home security system.

Also, without the calls I'd never have known my microsoft computer has a security risk.

I have not gotten that one yet. Maybe because we are in a lower ROI zone in the midwest.

I've had three messages today that the IRS has put out an arrest warrant for me, the first time I heard it, for a second or two I was worried. I'm not sure what someone is trying to gain on that one, but I'm not calling back!
