Anyone have MX890's that the hard buttons (upper six) wearing out/ off prematurely?
I know I had issues with the early TC RM2's had what looks like the same issue. Just checking, wondering it URC is replacing, if it's a known issue.

even if not a known issue, URC should and likely will replace it. Its a defect, period, even if only on one remote. Unless of course they tool fingernail polish or acid to it lol

Yeah, the paint ship on alot of them from what I've seen. Switched to the MX-990 with no issues.

The paint chipping, to my knowledge, was only on the very early generation remotes. I believed they changed the paint or process. I haven't seen it in later models.

I tried one 890 and it felt like a turtle. It was slow to respond and it just felt sluggish. Client had no complaints though. I was hesitant to try the 990 because I was afraid it would be the same. Finally got to where I had to replace 3 Intellicontrollers for a client and we went for the 990. I am impressed. Much better experience than the 890. We then sold 4 more 990 to other clients. All are very happy. Bonus that you can migrate 980 files over.

I am not helping with your button issue, but in my experience, URC will help you out if there is an issue with their product.

Yeah, I agree. The 990 is alot faster remote. The price difference is so small anyway so I see no reason to use the 890 anymore.
