I have a customer that has phone from Spectrum/ Time Warner. I would like to hook up a flasher/strobe to that system when the phone rings in 3 locations. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what to purchase to get this running? Can it run directly off of the phone voltage. Does a Specturm/ Time Warner system that comes out of a modem give off a voltage when it rings? I would assume so since it can power a standard old telephone.

Thanks for your help.

Try Viking Electronics and Graybar Electric. I haven't needed these for years and do not remember the model/part numbers

phone companies used to handle this. Have you ever wondered if we screwed ourselves with deregulation?

Viking probably has it, though Fred will probably remember the other one or two companies that should have it.

Look up beehive or beehive light, too.

For that matter there's a whole industry that serves the handicapped.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

easy to do. Depends on brightness desired, among other things. My favorite supplier certainly can assist.

Thanks Justin I may try the Audio Controlled Relay Solution. It seems much cheaper and it can use standard 24VDC Strobes.
