The most effective method to choose right Circular Duct Fan Confirm the fundamental parameters such as air flow, total pressure, efficiency, motor speed, and power. You may also need to select different types of centrifugal fans based on the physical and chemical properties of the delivery gasses. Make sure to compare the net pipe resistance characteristics with the centrifugal fan characteristics. The centrifugal fan needs to work at its highest efficiency. So, select the work point located at the right side of the peak point of the total pressure on the performance curve of a given centrifugal fan. You should consider the piping system leakage, the calculation error, the actual airflow amount and negative pressure deviation as well. Usually, the air volume safety factor is from 1.05 to 1.10 while the pressure safety factor ranges from 1.10 to 1.15. Avoid thinking about just one-time investment issues, instead, browse through a variety of fans to select the most efficient, lightweight, and compactly designed product that suits your application requirements. It is important to consider the long-term economic benefits. (an example from [Link: powerjackmotion.com] ) Parameters for new user You need to consider the following parameters: Wind Wheel/ Impeller Diameter Blower Pressure (PS, PV, PT) Blower Air Flow Electric Motor Type Electric Motor Output Power Motor Current and Voltage Any better thought would be very valued. Thanks Jung

Mark, you've severely misunderestimated* your audience.
We are small businesses. When we want or need fans such as you describe, we don't have the technical staff or the budget to gather all that information. Furthermore, any kind of testing needed to discover any of that information is WAY beyond the budgets we have to choosing components.
This is the kind of thing a company or person might undertake if they were going to do a thousand or ten thousand identical installations. Your information is totally correct but pretty much useless.
Could you provide a means to determine the best fan to use, and do that in thirty minutes start to finish? THAT would be worthwhile information, since we could probably spend that amount of time on it.

Thanks Jung We don't do HVAC, other than, maybe thermostats and a network connection for the HVAC contractor. Any calculations for what we do will be in the area of data throughput, cable capacity and things that have to do with AV, security and low voltage electrical. The chance that anyone here will ever need to do a static pressure test, duct calculations or determine whether the ducts will provide laminar flow are just about nil.

As mentioned, Jung is a German name. The guy who claimed it is Chinese should really look up Carl Jung, who was Swiss but spoke German, in relation to psychology.
Garhurd, however, sounds as fake as that telephone guy from India who says his name is Steven and carefully pronounces it stee-vunn, with the accent on the second syllable.
Schreiben Sie fuer uns etwas ueberzeugend, darum wir vielleicht glauben koennen, dass Sie wirklich deutsch sind!
