Here's a little bit of a scenario setup... I am programming a Pioneer Voyager CATV box as my Cable device. I have added a new page that will jump to my 12 favorite cable channels....

If I am programming a single digit channel (such as 7 for ABC) the learning happens correctly.
However, when I need to program a channel that requires more than one digit, (such as 50 for FoodTV or 200 for HBO On-Demand), the learning dialog comes back as good, but in fact what it appears to be capturing is either one digit at a time. (So if I run the emulator and tap on the FoodTV icon the 5 gets transmitted, if i tap a second time, the 0 gets transmitted. Obviuosly, if I wait too long it takes the digits as separate commands.) Occasionally, the result recorded is the same first digit three times (222 for HBO).

Am I missing something? Is my remote too close? Can I edit the command manually?

It could be your cable box. I have ran into problems with Motorola and GI just to name a couple. They don't want to take all the IR commands that I send in a macro.
The only option you may have is to nix the channel macro page.

Good Luck

You might try setting a longer delay in your macros

To me, it sounds like you need to use marcos and make the delay slonger between the numbers.

Um..... MX-3000..... Why does it sound like your trying to teach the the remote the sequence instead of creating a macro......

You need to learn your numeric commands 0-9, then create a Macro for each button you want as a preset.

Thats it EXACTLY!

I think your trying to make an easily programed remote difficult. Macro's aren't just for 'switching' inputs. Do like Impaqt suggests. Your problems will be solved.

Thank you all. Problem solved. I was trying to teach the sequence and thought that would work just fine. I recorded the individual 0-9 digits and then created macros for loading the favorite channels.
