I sent a client a proposal. They said they couldn't afford it and only do the tv stuff in living room. Said ok here's the price. They say okay.

Im going to leave yesterday after I'm "done" . They ask about something they took out . Told them it's extra. She emails me at 11pm last nite. We are supposed it have a Ir eye. It was in proposal. Look back see it was. So I offer her the a wap instead cuz she really wanted one and didn't need ir eye.

Later
She chops up a few emails that made it looks like I owe her a both  and more. its out of order also . It took my office girl 2 hours to go thru and find her deception. Has anyone charged a client for this bs. I had to pay her overtime to prove it.

piece together emails from her showing that she promised you sexual favors and send it to her husband anonymously? lol. Yes, I jest.

That is TOTAL bs she did that. I would confront here face to face and show her you are aware of what she has done and how she thinks its best to proceed?

Maybe put it on her facebook page? lol

First of all, why are you giving proposals via email text and/or verbal communication? That's asking for trouble and now you see why.

Second, is your final payment free and clear, or at least the deposit which if you're smart covers at a minimum your costs associate with the job? If it is call her out, let her know you're calling it even for the wire fraud she committed, the job is complete as is and part ways. She can find another sucker to do future service calls.

You're thinking you will get the 40-50 dollars or whatever it is out of her to cover the office girls OT? You're crazy. And trying to collect on that will cost you far more. Move on and learn from this.

What's involved in delivering the "IR eye" that you mistakenly left in the proposal.

You say she doesn't really need it. Well, that's a great reason to give it to her.

Then when she tries to get the WAP for free, you can tell her the price of that item has gone up (doubled) and that she has to pay for it in advance.

Lady, here are two choices.

1. Refund on the IR gadget.

2. Free WAP.

Pick one only. And please don't be sneaky.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Send her an invoice for the 2 hrs OT + the time you spent, and then do not take any calls or emails from her ever again.

I'm always surprised by the "Do (insert aggressive billing/collections here), then never answer her calls again" response. This is 2017. Behaving that way is going to get you crushed on social media, contractor review sites, etc...all of which are going to cost you a lot more in the long run than whatever couple hundred dollars you might be out right now.

It's an inexpensive lesson learned.

Go over and above on the customer satisfaction, deliver the items in question (if you can afford to do so), and apologize for your part in the confusion for not drawing up a revised scope and contract reflecting the changes and omissions that she requested.

Then change your policy to *always* draw up a revised scope before your contracts are signed, reflecting the every one of the changes and omissions that the client requested.

Could this be a huge part of the possible misunderstanding?

Fix the situation the best you can and move on. You have nothing to gain chasing them down for some OT for an office employee.

If she intentionally mis-lead you in an attempt to get free stuff, that's fraud. Let her know this and ask her how she wants you to respond.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
