Really, you want to disrupt people's lunch because you don't want us to eat chickens? FU, and they complained they never got to speak out because the patrons got aggressive so quickly. Love it. Go crawl back under your compost pile and figure out how to make a sandwich out of it.
They are upset with slaughter houses. It's ok to blast a bird in the woods, but raising thousands to feed thousands is a problem?
Guess I should join FB to rip some new ones about shit that bothers me.

While we are OT. Driving company vehicle to and from job but not allowed to punch in before arrival and must punch out when job is complete. Basically company not paying to drive. Legal? Issues? No guesses please. Facts if you know them.

Lazy activism. Same with the highway blockers. Its easy to show up for a few and then go home. They want instagram selfies and youtube clips to show their friends. These people are vegetarians so they are different than me...I eat meat but i do think that factory farming is disgusting and immoral and i think something should be done about it. Whatever your gripe with eating meat is...screaming at children with fake blood on your real knife at supper time in a fast food joint isn't going to change anything. All it does is make people angry at you. Real change is hard work and none of them are willing to do it.

As far as i know...so long as its "normal" commute time you don't get paid for the drive to a job site from home or to home from a job site. I think anything over an hour is longer than normal commute time.

You do however get paid for any driving between jobs or between the office and a job or the job and the office.

I get why people that have never had to kill their own food can think factory farms are cruel. But the problem is, we can't produce enough food for the number of people we have trying to do it free range and organically. And chickens are one of the nastiest animals alive. They will eat anything if they are put outside.
Civil War reenactment is LARPing for people with no imagination.

This year, we as a human race reached approximately 7.5 billion people on this planet. A planet that can only comfortably sustain about 1 billion.
Natural resources are being consumed at an alarming rate.
Being huddled together with no room and little privacy inflames anger, tension, and hostilities.

And still humans breed like cockroaches. Scurrying around everywhere, consuming everything, destroying everything.

We so desperately need WW3.
Or that killer plague that is immune to all antibiotics we have festered.
Or that comet to hit the planet.
Or pray for another great flood.
Whether I survive it or not does not matter. If the human race is to make it to the next millennium (or even century at this point), it needs to happen soon. While there is still a chance for the planet to sustain itself.

We only have 5+ billions years left before our sun starts turning into a red giant. And we have to have advanced enough as a species, to leave this rock and colonize beyond our skies.
Not going to happen with the direction our societies are headed today.

Hmmmm. Where will I be when this flame out happens?

Oh.

I'm good. :-)

P.S. If I'm in a Chick Fil A and some of these idiots disrupt my lunch, I'll need a drink refill. Oops, so sorry, I thought you were screaming because you were on fire....LOL

So, in other words, you don't have to buy or maintain the vehicle you drive to and from work. Or pay insurance on it. You have a free ride to work and you want to be paid for the time you're driving.

Then you punch in when you actually start doing somethin that can make money for the business. That vehicle -- until you start driving to a job, it's pure overhead with no compensation to the company.

Must punch out when you're finished working? What a novel idea!

Now, on the other hand, if you punch out and then drive back to the company, drop off parts and tools, and then go home, they're not doing right. You should be paid for the travel back to the shop to drop things off, just as you're paid to drive between jobs.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

The only way I can reconcile this mass of questionable information, is that you have abandoned Samsung and gone to Vizio or some other brand, and your thinking has taken a hit 😜
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

I think "organic" is nonsense. I understand that some people think that food is better when its organic but i am not one of them. Honestly the only thing i like from whole foods is their skirt steak and chicken thighs...but its no better than what i get from a local farm or higher end market.

Factory farming animals is a wrong solution to a real problem of over population. Humanity is good at "fixing" things the wrong way.

Humans want to sell more TV's so their solution is to pay TV manufacturer workers less money and destroy the environment in someone elses back yard so that other humans can afford to buy cheap TV's. Notice that is aid TV's and in 1 in every room. I am not talking about our clients. Most of the sub $100k household friends and relatives i know have at least 1 TV per person in the home. The consumers only "need" the TVs to be cheap because they are being paid too little by whatever industry they are slaved to. The solution should be adjusting our financial/trade system so that consumers can afford to pay what things really cost. This might make it difficult for some guy to build a couple of $100mil yachts but it would solve the problem. Consumers do not drive the race to the bottom. Greedy businessmen do. Of course consumers will shop for the lowest price but if the greedy business man leaves the price where it should be...the consumer has to pay it.

With meat the solution is to stop offering consumers cheap meat. If they cant afford to eat meat 3 meals a day they can buy a hunting rifle and a fishing pole and keep a few chickens in their back yard. If they don't have a back yard then maybe don't add to the overpopulation problem by making hungry little meat eaters..

We are over fishing the oceans, and 30 years ago in much of the US, wildlife was almost nonexistent. When I was little, people rarely saw deer in these mountains, turkeys were nonexistent, and if you wanted to see a bear, you had to go to a tourist attraction and see one that had been bottle raised. People trying to live off the land almost eliminated all wildlife in the Appalachian mountains. Fortunately, thanks to wildlife preservation programs, that's been changed. But I don't want it to go back. I have no sympathy for cows, pigs, chickens, or any other animals raised for the purpose of food. My grandparents had a rule on the farm. Don't name the food.

Things seem okay right now. Wait until there are 15 billion pitre dishes running around out there.

We need to reduce the population by about 5 billion.

Let me add. For 20 years you work this area. Now on any random day you will drive an additional 30 miles each way. Oh and arrive at normal start time. No compensation.
Drive to pick up equipment is also not compensated. But you need to be there at start time even though it is outside normal daily area.
Is an employee exposed to more liability since the employee is driving the vehicle to from job sites off the clock?
