Hello all. Struggling with this one, probably because it's something I haven't faced yet (isn't that always the case in this biz?).

Anyhow: I'm doing an install w/3 Sonance K2 Navigator touchpads spread throughout a <2K sq. ft. home, controlling a 1) Meda Bravo 4 music server, and 2) a Xantech PA1235 amp. My issue: I want to power each touchpad individually (Cat5 homerun to each touchpad), so that implies individual Ir connecting blocks (I'm using Xantech products for this), each with its own DC power supply.

But - I only need/want one Ir connection total to the Bravo 4 (has an Ir minijack input) and the PA1235 (has screw-downs). The Bravo 4 has discrete Ir commands for controlling each of its zones, and the PA1235 has both a common Ir input and one for each channel.

Should I just jumper from each blocks ground and Ir into another block, and connect my two Ir emitters to that? Or has anyone used the Xantech expansion products?

Hi dcci,
Actually, you have to use the brown wires from each k2 and connect them with each other. Have you had your hands on one yet? BNC

And then use their higher-powered DC power supply?

Dcci,

After you get your Meda server setup, would you so kind as to evaluate it for its worthiness?

I recently had some sales training on it and was comparing it to Request Multimedia. It seemed like a very complete system.
