My wattbox web portal no longer works remotely now. It worked behind the first router. Upnp is enabled on both routers. Idk why it’s not passing it along.

I am pretty sure this is OK, i.e. not an issue on anything you did. I experience the same issue on all Fios installs with double router.

Does you wattbox report correctly in OVRC app/website? If so, is the issue not being able to web connect and choose "I am remote" and pull up the portal page? Is the web address its trying to pull up 192.168.1.2:xxxxx?

Not sure what router that you have for the fios.  When I had Fios I had an actiontec and was able to bridge the modem and use my own router.  YMMV  Try This

your link is dead. It's the quantum router.

Yes it reports correctly on the ovrc app and correct, the issue is not being able to web connect to the web gui when you select "I am remote". It doesn't pull up anything. I get an error message that says Unable to display the local web user interface of this device. Please check that the following features are supported by the network router and are enabled in the router configuration: UPnP, WAN Firewall and Port Forwarding.

Got that before on the ubiquiti router alone before then i realized they ship with upnp off and you have to ssh into the damn thing to enable it which i did then it worked. It's still enabled but like I said now that it's behind the verizon router it won't work again. This isn't the end of the world but would be nice to be able to access it if I ever wanted to alter the config a little deeper then what the ovrc app or portal interface allows.

Bigger issue is the ubiquiti stuff not sending email alerts on issues. I do get alert emails from wattbox.

I have a workaround but just making sure that when you click: "I am remote" that the screen is blank, except in the address bar it shows that it is trying to connect to 192.168.1.2.

We do all Fios/Pakedge router installs the way posted in this thread. I have noticed depending on which Fios router they have (new Quantum vs older oval-ish actiontecs) we need to forward additional ports when necessary to get thru to the Pakedge in the DMZ for things like NVR app and Crestron. Older Fios router needed almost everything forwarded as in the Pakedge, where as newer Quantum router didnt at all. VPN works with either type of router though. I always figured DMZ would put it out there fully but I guess not.

It never even gets that far. Never jumps to the browser page. Just get the fail page in the overc app. I believe I can just set a static port in watt box setup and use the free wattboxdns.com service to see it that way. [Link: onaisle8.com] page 10.

Programming remotely to my RTI stuff does work. Thats a major plus. So weird that Wattbox smtp will send mail to me for alerts but Ubiquiti won't. Wish i could figure that one out. It does authenticate. It just doesn't send. "Failed to send mail to smtp server".

Something is strange. As soon as you click "I am remote" it launches the browser. Well on the iPhone it does. Same with my Mac and Safari. Get a spinning icon on the "I am remote" button and then the browser launches and after a while it times out with the message that it could not open the page because the server stopped responding.

I had same issue with just the ubiquiti on my local network at home when i was setting gear up. Never got to the browser page. Then i realized upnp wasn't enabled by default on these routers. So i figured out how to do the command line bs to enable it and then it went to the browser page like u describe and it all worked fine. It loads the ip address from service provider in browser window and seems to pick its own random port each time it connects. But now that I'm behind this second router its back to same error message where browser never even loads just like before. Same thing on mac, etc.

Are u sure then that upnp is activated on your router still? Also, that you are in the DMZ of the Fios router.

You can do it without the Fios router if you use a MoCA adapter. Ethernet from the ONT to your/customer's own router. Coax from the ONT to a splitter with at least one more port than the number of STB's. MoCA adapter plugs into one of the LAN ports on the router (or a downstream switch) and one of the ports on the splitter.

Basically:

 --------                                        ------------
         --------                                           STBs

This worked for us as well. Although, there are some additional steps required. Verizon router is using port forwarding for their boxes ( for VOD, caller ID and software updates ). Since verizon boxes are not using upnp standard, if you replace their router you will have to make DHCP reservations manually for those boxes. Each box has a unique ID, so you have to power up one at the time ( starting with DVR ), reserve the address, enter port forwarding in firewall settings, repeat
...
First DVR will use port 35000 and 63145 , next one 35001 and 63146 and so on....
Please keep in mind that ports above may differ, depending on make and model of the STB, so before you disconnect Verizon router check what ports are being used for their boxes.
