Have a job im fixing up and the bototm locking panels on the AXS racks are missing so I cant push these guys back into place...

Called MA but seems like the replacement is the top, bottom and entire bottom pan... I dont need all that, just the bottom panel to lock it in..

Anyone have one lying around or know of a way to just get the panel?

AXS racks have no mounting bottom plate? Are they just using the small little "bearings" on the floor?

If you can find drawings that call out the dimensions of the plate and the two holes where the screws go (if I remember correctly), or if someone here could measure them for you, you could have a metal shop cut them for you. I once had a job where the budget was "whatever it took" and we did this, followed by having the plates brushed and anodized at a plating shop.

This might be beyond the budget, but the actual shape and holes are about the simplest job that a metal shop can do, so the cost might not be too bad.

Edit: Google says to check Lashen: [Link: lashenelectronics.com]

At $55 from Lashen, suddenly custom cutting and finishing doesn't seem outrageous. However, the photo on the Lashen page seems to show a 2U panel. Could it be that?

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I checked with MA a few months ago on getting replacement AXS trim panels for my rack. I picked up a free AX-S and am using it freestanding. I took the rollers off and am going to put some casters on it. I plan to use the SnapAV hardware to finish it which of course does not match the brushed anodized finish. I asked if they sold them in the black powdercoat finish. Not only did they inform me that they did not, but also that they did not sell the trim panels separately, as you have found out.

How much do they want for the "kit"? Or what is the part# so I can look it up.

I am going to take the bottom and top panels I have and sand them and paint them and see how it turns out. There are several custom metal shops within a stone's throw of our office if I make a mess of it. :)

Middle Atlantic doesn't sell them. Okay. There can't be much demand for them; does Lashen still have stock?

I found the item from ADI. They want $577.00 for the kit. LMFAO
I think I'll just get a flangeless 1u blank and drill the holes to screw it down.

Thanks folks but I only got like a 2 days till I go back and just want to finish up and collect my final payment.
