If you did the codes on the remote, you don't need to do them on the xp3, unless they are in system macros, in which case you don't need to do them on the remote.
Honestly, the best thing for you to do is watch the first 2-3 training videos on the Rti website, when I started, I watched them a few times until I was sure.
Guess training does not come with eBay purchase. I would return it or start learning the basics. If you can't turn a tv on off then you are in trouble.
There is no one here that can help you. You need training or hire someone to program it. Do you also think you can do your own surgery if you get prostate cancer too? If takes education/training and experience to complete most things in life, some things more than others. You obviously have no clue what you are doing, no one can just type a few sentences and fix all this for you - hint: you probably have a lot more wrong and work to do, than you know. If you do not have weeks and many hours to sit down and learn the platform, then you need to hire a programmer. Period! Hire an RTI programmer. Hire an RTI programmer. Hire an RTI programmer.
In case you missed it = you need to hire an RTI programmer!
I'll add to Brad's accurate comments that the software has functions that you cannot imagine unless you're told about them. If you try to imagine everything that's there, you still have to work out how to access these functions. I do not find that the methods of finding all these functions are intuitive -- you HAVE to have someone help you.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything. "The biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place." -- G. “Bernie” Shaw
He was either an end user that got a hold of the software, then found out he was in over his head. Then figured he could get help on a forum board, not realizing just how far over his head he really was.
Or he was a recent DIY'r (or hack) turned 'pro', trying to sell & install stuff he shouldn't yet. Because you know training is for nerds :/
I was Pm'd as well. This post always seemed fishy. Like everyone else I refused to give him access to anything and told him to go through the proper channels.
He was desperate to get a hold of e-mails addresses.
