Yes, but all the cheap products were not seriously considered at the time that this unit came out. It really was an outlier among the quality brands. I learned of this at a URC training where one of the URC people told me that their product development people had made a simple mistake -- the prototypes from the manufacturer came in; they were thoroughly evaluated; they were found to work just fine. They did not notice that the cables used 2.5mm connectors and it didn't occur to this group to see if it worked well with LEDs from other companies, or even their own older LEDs. It was a simple oversight that probably would have been noticed by an installer, but wasn't caught.
Less understandable and less forgivable was its horrible oversensitivity to RF signals.
