We are just starting to get involved with IP phone systems. Does anyone know of any really cheap sip trunks with did's (phone numbers)? We are looking for something dirt cheap just to fool around with. Thanks.

You can get a NY area code number for free with callcentric. Unlimited incoming minutes and $.0198 for outgoing calls (they also have plans with included outgoing minutes). They allow 2 free numbers per account. Calls between callcentric numbers are free so you can make test calls between those numbers with no cost.
Anveo.com is $.50/month, $.01/minute.
VOIP.ms is $.88/mo and $.009/minute.
VOIP.ms and Anveo have reseller features if you want to sell trunks and service with the phone system.
