So have a service call that seems to turn into HELL. Short story is that client had an Integra DTR30.1 which the amp side is toast. Sources are DishNetwork 612VIP, Integra Blu Ray, Apple TV. Replaced the Integra with a Marantz 5011. Reconnected everything, fixed other issues in the system. Whomever installed the original gear needs to be shot. The layout is the Sharp 65" TV is to the left of a fireplace. the equipment is to the right. The left channel speaker is above the center of the TV. The center channel speaker is underneath the center of the TV. The right speaker is 14 ft to the right of the TV. So surround sounds like ass. But the big problem is that they want to be able to listen thru the TV speakers. The Dish Network box will not pass audio. Everything else does. And his old Integra would. Spent 30 min with Marantz Tech Support and 15 with Dish. Talked to Brent twice. No Joy. Any suggestions?

If you make sure the HDMI pass through is on when the AVR is off it should let you pass the audio to the TV.
Or is the problem the dish box won't pass regardless? If so it's not out of the realm of possibilities when the amp went it killed the cable/the audio feed of the box.
Did you try switching cables and or a cable box from another room?

Tried switching cables. Did not try swapping boxes. The funny thing is that the Integra would still pass audio and video even after the amp section was toast.
