I am crossing over my old Pronto to the new Color Pronto.
In doing so I would like to take advantage of the RF. Does anyone know if all codes should work when flipping over.
I have tried some codes. They seem to work in IR but not in RF. Also does anybody know if you can double up on emmitters by spliiting one emmitter line into two.

Thanks

Shane,

You need to manually change each code setting from IR to RF for it to send via RF to the RFX-6000 RF Extender. Every code should work fine.

The RFX-6000 includes 8 emitters, and I believe you can split them but you will lose some signal strength from the emitters.

What do you mean manually...is it just a matter of setting each device to RF or do I have to convert codes in some fashion.

Go to device properties and set each device as RF rather that IR.

Also you will find with the RF settings. You will some times need longer delays in Macros. And single taps on screen need to be slightly longer to get the RF station to actually send the IR code.

These are things I have picked up on the last 6 or so installs.

Thanks alot it works fine now. i also figured that some of the emmitters were not working but when I changed the input jack from 1 to 4 it worked. It seems like you have to play around and find the port . I also bought some xantech blocks to expand the capabilty of more ports. Alot cheaper than gettiing another IR to RF Station.

Shane,
I had a question that you may be able to answer. I've order the Pronto TSU-2000 but would like it to take over control of my other RF remote control (ATI & X10). How were you able to accomplish this - purchasing an IR543 & getting the RF codes? If so, do you have any tips to avoid same problems you've experienced & where would I get the RF codes to program into my Pronto?
THanks!

In my old system I wa utilizing x-10 and x-10 pro and yes the only success i had was to use the IR543 with the X10 Ir codes. My new theater I have decided to go with the Lutron Line. Far more flexibility and when you add up all the little extras with x-10 not much more expensive. You get what you pay for.

Cheers
