I have a client that wants Sonos, so I'm trying to get better quality sound by using separate amps with Connects.
At this time I'm estimating that there will be 9-10 Connect Amps going in. To save room in the rack I'd like to use multi channel amps, what models are you using that go well with Connects? A few need to handle 4 ohms.

Sonance DSP Amps with Digital Input Card, or Audio Source if you dont have access to Sonance.

If there are any outdoor zones, use a separate dedicated amp for the outdoor zone

I was looking at the Audio Control Director Series with DSP's for Origin speakers if the client goes for it!!

We've been using Snap when our clients want better sound than the Connectamp but are somewhat price-conscious. They sound MUCH better than the Connectamp's amplifier section. All 4 ohm stable.

Am I really the only one that gets depressed every time someone talks about stacking a whole bunch of sonos's centrally?

What is staking?

If you mean stacking Connects all in a rack...done dozens of times some in the double digits; not a single problem.
