For a low cost solution, I keep this on the truck and have been using it for cable wrap labels the last 6 months. Low volume use, not sure I'd use this one if doing a ton of labels.

And these labels:

Way cheaper than dymo labels and so far everything is working fine.

People are sure bad mouthing those labels in their reviews.

This is the printer we use [Link: bradycanada.ca] a lot of choices in size for wrap around labels and have gone to jobs done 10+ years ago and the labels are still intact and readable.

If I'm reading it right, the tape is flexible plastic. Those have enough memory that they want to go flat again. If you put them along the length of a cable, they'll unpeel after a while. The only way to make them stay is to use them as flags, which I find messy.

The flexible nylon tape, on the other hand, doesn't have that memory, and once installed, even along the length of the tape, stays and is even hard to remove.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Been using this:

No pc spreadsheets and the labels are pricier but the labels really hold on well to the wire with various font sizes.
