I guess this is a non starter? It's my personal system. Cable works fine with regular sources but doesn't output anything if the cable is connected to the Preamp.

Works fine with a 6ft cable connected to the TV so I know the preamp is ok and working.

Tried a splitter and no go. TV is a Sony KDL55W800C, CEC is off as well.

Any suggestions? It's a 12m cable

I believe that cable is directional. Do you have source end at source and display end at display?

Hmmmm...
Just had a call from P2P with the same issue (just started).
It sounds like the same problem that we are now seeing on DorecTV receivers, try switching out EHD cable to a short fat (old school) cable*.

Fred calls this "the Brent McCall" cable (damn him).

Thanks,

I cant, the shortest I can go is 30ft and thats really cutting it close with no serivce loop at the rack. Would prefer 12m...

Maybe I should just bite the bullet and go with hdbaset?

Nah....HDBaseT is nearly "legacy" equipment. Run some fiber. Actually, we just installed Celerity in our new showroom, between the rack and the 4k sony projector. So far so good. :)

Just talked with P2P, Short Fat cable did not help.
I had himdisconnect the Coax, HDMI and power cables for 15 mins.
This appears to be the correct fix.

Awesome job. So when our clients call pissed off, we can tell them "Go to the garage. Find the electrical panel. See that big one at the very top? Flip that switch off (both ways you can), wait 20 minutes (accounting for poor timekeeping skills), then flip it back on and cross your fingers." :)

Such is HDMI.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
