Have our first Veranda sold, but have not physically seen one. Looking at the pictures, the mounting holes are right next to the back end of the compartment that opens to expose the connections. I plan to use a Peerless or some other outdoor arm, as the Sunbrite arm is the worst mount I have ever used. The question is, how can you access the inputs once the arm is mounted to the TV. Most arms will extend beyond the width of a standard vesa pattern.

Check out the Sanus outdoor mounts. I just used the VXF220 for a Seura 65".

I don't have an issue with finding outdoor mounts. The sanus, much like every other arm, protrudes past the mounting holes on the TV. I am looking to see if and how the door to the sealed input compartment can be opened once you attach the mount to the Veranda series TV

Those sunbright mounts are HUGE! I expect those to be re-designed to not be so obnoxious. Other than the size, they are fine. You could hang a truck on one for sure.

No, they are not fine. Giant piece of shit. A sneeze makes it go off level. There is no way to adjust for that. I believe others have even commented on it on snaps site. It is literally the worst mount I have ever used.

What you need is something like the old Peerless PLA50 but rated for outdoor use.
Civil War reenactment is LARPing for people with no imagination.

I got my 1st Veranda spec'd on a current proposal as well. Red all the complaints on the Subrite/Snap articulating one and have been searching for something as well.

I glanced through the user manual for the Sanus and it appears that the vertical brackets are fixed to the inside edge of the horizontal bars and the horizontal pieces seem to slide inside one another. Would then think there might be enough clearance if the horizontal brackets are narrow. Can anyone confirm?

I ordered the Sanus:

Should be doing the install most likely next week. The plan is to lop off the part of the bracket that extends beyond the vertical mounts that attach to the TV with a sawzall. Hopefully that works and clears. I will post back once we complete the install to let you know if it is that easy.

We just did a 43" this week. Used a Chief TS318TU plus a pair of Sanus SA405-B1's (one for the TV and one for a PlayBar).

Worked fine...but we had to get creative.

Let me know. Just got my job so will need to order stuff soon. Should be able to hold off for a week at least.

Doesn't look like any horizontal pieces extend beyond the vertical mounts though. Which size veranda are you mounting.

Veranda 43" ?

If so did you also use an HD-BaseT extender? If so which? The 43" has a smaller compartment and I just got off the phone with Snap trying to figure out what may fit. Seems so short sighted with this being a new line that they didn't include HDBASE-T for this series. Also, that they didn't ensure they can fit all of their extenders.

we did the 55 and Sanus VFX220 last week. You'll need to hack off a few inches of the upper horizontal bar to make it fit next to the inputs cover

Thanks. That was the plan when choosing this mount.
