I spec'd out a job using another pull down bracket to mount a client's TV above his fireplace. He didn't like my bracket price and found another brand that was cheaper (of course).
I'm willing to increase my labor price to cover the time and learning curve to install it because the labor on this job is pretty high but I'm going to walk away if someone tells me this bracket is poor quality.

Actually looks interesting.
They have a dealer portal; signup to see what kind of margins you can get?
If it turns out to be a good mount, then...

I've used mantle mount before. Halfway decent. It actually goes on the wall very easy. Making sure it is put where it needs to be for clearance when pulled down is the most time consuming part of it. Then it comes with (or used to) paintable panels that cover the mount when it is pulled down. I never would paint them and just leave them for the customer.

I can't imagine it taking longer than another pull-down product.

Re your signature,
Defectus tuus consilium carpere discrimen mihi non constituit.

it seems to translate as
The lack of a difference to me, your God hath not appointed a counsel in very disparaging terms.

? ?

~~~
Aha! A further search shows that someone thinks this is a translation of "Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
When learning a language or attempting to translate, you should always go back and forth from one language to the other, then back, to be sure the word you choose doesn't have a different sense than what you mean. With a computer translator, you've GOT to translate back into the language you start with. This will point out whether it's a good translation or not.
A classic example of this kind of problem is found in a famous speech given by President Kennedy, in which he said "Ich bin ein Berliner," which means "I am a jelly donut."
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
You're the first person to catch this.
I will investigate...
I couldn't figure out how wide a bolt pattern it has for studs.
I guess I'll call them.
Thanks and Happy Easter!
I have installed a couple of models of the mantle mount
First you really want two people for the project
Second, read the instructions before you begin as it's really nothing like a typical mount
Third RTFM before you begin
Summed up perfectly.
Did one last week, have another coming up this week.
I would say thereabouts is a fair estimate. I'm just talking mount on wall and tv in mount though. Running the wire through the mount to the TV was different but not hard to figure out. The manual lays out clearly how to figure for the clearance so definitely read twice and mount once.
Take a look at Dynamkc Mounting solutions as well. There are a few things I don't love about the mount, but support and tech assistance were excellent and the product works as advertised. They also offer a unitizing bracket for soundbars.
Somewhat related.
Has anybody used the motorized Comfortvu mounts?
I see that they are not cheap but I have a project I am looking at where two of the display locations are going to be over 7 feet off the floor with no other realistic alternate locations to put a tv.
I've installed Confortvu.
Works great.
I'm looking at using the MM700 by Mantel Mounts for two jobs, has anyone used this model. It looks pretty close to the same specs as the MM540 talked about in this thread.
One is just the TV but the other is using a Sonos Playbar. Has anyone used a Playbar with either mount? Is shows that both have a "sound bar attachment". I've done a few PB's with articulating mounts having to do some mods they worked out decent. Just wondering how much mods may be needed with the Mantel Mounts.
