I find issues with everything.

It's not just you. The phone makers have spent too much time on nonsense. Apple pretty much had a perfect device with the iPhone4. If they had spent some time making a better shatter proof case and improving things that matter the 5/6/7 wouldn't suck as much.

I keep seeing samsungs infinity screen on TV...seems like it will be fun trying to figure out how to hold it without activating something accidentally.

The pixel looks exactly like what it is...an iPhone6 knockoff. The iPhone6/7 design is horrible but since the competition never has an idea of their own they copy it.

The best phone i have seen in years is the free windows phone you get at cricket and probably boost mobile. It's thin...the case and screen are nice and its battery life as as good as my iPhone6 (which isnt saying much). The OS is a little annoying at first but its no worse than the constant bugs with iOS. Half the time i need to type something the keyboard doesn't appear.

I've had my Motorola Razr M for what seems like a decade now.. I have always read that Motorolas have the best antennas and I can vouch that out here in Colorado I can make calls in places that most other people can't.

Alas the limited onboard memory and the increasing size of the OS over the years has turned the old Razr into a boat anchor so I'm looking into the Motorola Z Turbo 2.

I've had the same experience as well. Some of my customers are well off the beaten path and mobile reception is an issue for some of them. Another reason I've got to install quite a few cell repeater systems. In most of those cases, they would have no signal (or not enough to make a call) and I would with my Droid. Ask what carrier they use: "Verizon", ah me too.

cma, I would mention one problem I've seen with the new one. I've only had my new Moto Z Play for a little over a week. But I was driving down a remote stretch of highway (where my Droid Mini always worked fine) and the Z Play dropped a call. And it took several miles before I had enough signal to make a call again. Never had that happen before with my other Droid or my GF's Droid MAXX.
Hopefully it is not a sign of them cheapening the phone. Thinking with such coverage these days, they didn't need to use their best transceivers anymore.

+1 Motorola.
Im pretty picky with my phones also.

I have the moto X 1st generation (2013).
After I broke it I found it they were into the 2nd generation which was bigger. To me the size of the 1st gen is perfect.

I decided to get the note3 I think it was and returned it pretty quick after breaking 3 holsters. The damn thing was like having a tablet on my side. Kept catching on things and busting the holsters.
I tried 2 other phones the Droid razr or razr maxx, maybe both of them and maybe one other. Nothing was right for me.

I called motorola and got a refurb moto x for 100.00. That was my 2nd. I am now on my 3rd moto x 1st gen.

Perfect size not too big not too small. I can use with one hand instead of 2 like most newer phones. Doesnt get caught on things.

I know at some point i'll have to bite the bullet but i'll cross that bridge when the time comes.

Not a fan of the Samsung gui but I went to the LG G3 a couple of years ago and I like it a lot. Great gui, doesn't feel weird.

I am loooking at the new LG G6 now and it seems nice. Great cameras, good battery, 2:1 screen and Dolby Vision and HDR10 screen, thin bezel so it fits in the hand easily, etc.

I've had issues with this at times with the S7 Edge, but not too many. The Note7 was perfect. Never had that issue with the two Note7s I had. It was way more precise and never had an instance where the edge screen cause something to launch or put me in a different menu. Another reason I liked the Note7 so much more than the S7

I have the Google Pixel and have been happy. One of my good friends has the One Plus 3T. I'd consider One Plus next time around. For me the finger print reader on the back of the Pixel is amazing and I'm not sure I could live without that at this point.

I just saw a commercial for the LG G6 that said you get a free Google Home.

So either the G6 sucks, or google has decided the Google Home is a flop.

I just need a phone to make calls, text, check emails, check cams, browse internet. My iphone is just fine for that. Dont care about all the other crap. Not an apple fan boy by anymeans. Cant find my way around a mac lol. So, not sure all the issues folks seem to have with iphone. Maybe they are doing things I dont care or need to do? Not sure.

You probably haven't seen but many of our industry distributors are carrying Google Home now. And they are constantly having specials, get a free Google Home when you order a certain something.

I think Google is giving the things away to try and get market saturation. Amazon got a huge jump on them with Alexa, they are trying to make up lost ground.
