Personally hate my 2 Samsung. Mostly screen issues. Pocket dialing, password screen buttons too small and can't stand iPhone. Any other options you recommend looking at.

Wow, you just killed off 90% of the market with the two phones you don't want. Ha

I am shopping too. Top Android phones right now are the Google Pixel, LG G6 and the upcoming Samsung S8. I plan to go and play with them in person and decide.

Samsung is Samsung.

I had the note 3 and that phone drove me back to iPhone. That thing was the biggest POS you could imagine. Most of the same issues your experiencing.

The thing that I just couldn't tolerate was the pocket dialing and the constant screen issues. Total shit. It was replaced 3 times and all had the issues.

They all suck, iPhone just sucks the least

Galaxy S4!

Works well, screen's big enough, still fits in my pants pocket, rare pocket dials, good enough internet... now if I could only get google maps to quit updating....
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Yesterday I was working on my car and left my iPhone on the rear fender. An hour later I shut the trunk. Of course the corner of the trunk dug right onto the screen.

The trunk lid is bent up a 1/4 inch. iPhone screen, perfectly fine. No scratches or bad pexils or whatever.

I picked up a ZTE Axon 7 for $400 about a year ago. It has been great. Not perfect. But for the money, hard to beat. My HTC One M7 kept needing new charging ports. After the 3rd failure, I gave up on it and did not want to spend $600+ on a new phone. It has a 2 year factory warranty also should I need it.

I will not touch anything that says Samsung on it. I do not want to jump into Apple land. I just do not see much value in a $800 device that you will replace again 2 years or less. I wish Google would have priced the Pixel in the same range as they had the Nexus branded devices. I would have picked one up. Bummer.

Don't listen to a word brendon says. I got the same phone cause he said it was so great. Then I too had issues. I stuck with it though and through software updates, they fixed all the issues and it turned out to be a great phone. Moved on to a Note7 which was amazing. Now have a S7 Edge due to the whole Note7 battery thing and its been a great phone. My wife has an iPhone and its such a pita to do anything on. Took me over 40 minutes to run an update for her which basically just added some stupid smilies to the phone. The update was huge though and since the phone automatically downloaded the update file to the phone, it was taking up close to a gig of space. She has constant bluetooth issues with her phone. I do not. You can never tell if the sound is actually on on her phone since its one set of volume buttons for everything on the phone. Samsung has a menu that allows to to adjust ringtone, media, notifications, and system sounds separately. The list could go on and on with things that drives my crazy with her iPhone. Overall, she likes it. So each person is going to have their opinion.

Point is that for Brendon to base his opinion on ALL Samsung phones off of one phone he had like 2 or 3 years ago before they pushed an update that fixed every single issue he had is unfair.

Motorola Moto Z series. Look at the specs compared to the Google Pixel, it blows it away. And it is slightly cheaper in price.
I just got a Moto Z Play for $399, it replaced my old (3.5 year old) Motorola Droid Mini - which has been an awesome phone for all those years.

ichi laughed when I mentioned Motorola on IP last week. Ignorance is not bliss my friend. Before Samsuck came on the market with their cra... stuff, Droid is what launched Android market penetration up.

I think a LG still makes a couple flip phones. No annoying touch screen issues or firmware glitches.

S5 for personal which I want to replace soon. Note 5 for work. Can't delete more than one picture at a time with it. Wife has the Apple 6. I really dislike the voice to text/search what ever the feature is. Never gets it right. I also can not use the screen lock with PIN number. Too many tries to unlock as number pad is way too small. So then I have the pocket dial problem and pictures of inside of pocket. How it does it I don't know. It's 4 button pushs minimum for me to call anyone. Neither I or wife like the iPhone6 and really see no reason to stay with apple. Apple is loosing me as my new iPad already has issues. Won't clear website data for one. Latest update to locate earbuds. I don't have or want them. And more ways to use Siri for payment. I am just a pain in the ass. I find issues with everything. Just seems by now phones should be right. Guess I need to go fool around with some.
