I read that the other day. The way I read it, the RCA outs are only for the accompaniment, not for the piano sound as well unfortunately, so those outputs would have to be mixed with a pickup.
You are correct and this is the exact application I had and used the barcus berry/shure combo and it works fine for what it is, an upright piano playing through as background music to the rest of the house.
