I know a lot of installers have been involved with Golf Sims, but what about Gun Sims? I have a client that has a golf simulator, but doesn't play it all that much anymore. He wants to have a gun simulator like police/military may train with, but with more of an entertainment aspect rather than training.
He's not looking for something from an Xbox, or PS4. He definitely wants authentic, and like many of our clients, money is not an object.
The only one I can find that looks pretty good is this one: [Link: gunfightersimulator.com]

Anyone with experience with this? or others?

I looked at one at Cedia a couple times. Don't remember the company. They had a pretty good system with recoil kits for the firearms. I had a couple clients in mind but couldn't get them interested in the simulator, so I never looked at it further. You might look through Cedia expo exhibitors for past shows (I think those are still available).

If you want the ultimate range, go with this

http://www.virtra.com

360 degree range, It uses Co2 kits and has them for more models, and as I understand it, its interactive, so the story can always change. The bad guy is a real person on camera

I have been told there is a live fire version from some company that uses self healing Mylar screens, but I can't find it now.

Once you try VR, there is no going back to 2D. I have a client that wants a gun simulator; I'm waiting for the wireless HDMI/USB option for the HTC Vive to come out.

Is there a VR option now? VR could potentially be much more affordable than a big projection system.

Ive recently looked into these rather extensively. Expect to be in the $30k range since he already has a projector and screen. Recoil guns make the price go up quickly.
