I've searched for a few days and have not come up with one single answer concerning my new Tv, the LG 55" OLED B6 model.
First: What is this "Magic" remote? Is it IR, bluetooth, IP???
Second, I see references here for discrete codes for this TV. But where is the IR?
Third, I have seen that some people use the harmony remote. I have one, the 600, (lost at the moment so I can't try it!) but if I login to the Harmony app, it has an Activity for the LG TV, turning it on, selecting inputs etc. So It would imply that it works with IR. But I tried with another remote and it doesn't work. So what gives?
The iRule remote system has some posts saying that it will not work with IP access. But they don't say what it will work with.
Please, Please help out here!
Thanks!~

The IR receiver is right on the front bottom by the LG logo. It most certainly has discrete ir codes. I don't do anything with Harmony so I wont be help there but I've controlled them via IR with Crestron without issue.

I'm not familiar with harmony either. How would the app send ir? Also, if you find out what the magic remote is, I'd love to know too. I went round and round on a job trying to get the IP control to activate.

I think he means he opened the Harmony software and entered that model in setup and when he checked the command lift, it had what is needed.

If it's similar to some Samsung TVs, the BT remote needs to be paired before it will work.

@AZCS Thanks very much for the info. That simplifies my life tremendously.
So based on your comment, I installed irplus on my tablet and picked the generic TV for LG and it works!
The only thing left is to change some of the buttons to discrete codes.
They are listed here, but I have not figured out how to get them into IRPlus or any other android device for that matter. Any hints?
Thanks
