I have a client that wanted a TV over the fireplace. I was think instead of a TV since they are going to have to trench thru cement for power and hdmi. I do a fixed projector screen? A nice one with zero edge.

Has anyone done this ?

I don't know if I'd want to put a fabric screen above a fireplace unless melting is a desirable "feature".

I cant imagine a screen would be less heat resistant than the average Tchotchke someone throws up on the mantle.

If things on yoru mantle are bursting into flames and melting, I think you are fireplacing wrong.

Could you run a disguised conduit to the TV?

Unless I see obvious smoke damage or charred bits above the fireplace, I don't worry. I would worry more about a TV close to the hearth that would absorb radiation. This could be an issue even if there is a glass barrier.

That's a good way to spell it. It's probably from Russian and spelled Чачкы. That last letter is up in the air, though. Then there's the problem that we don't use that alphabet and we may not have sounds that match. Anyway, strange spelling like this is often a hint that it's a word from a language that uses a different alphabet.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
