Anyone run a pair of the Snap 8" landscape speakers without a sub?
Wondering how they sound and if they'd be a decent alternative to a pair of rocks.
Freq. response spec doesn't look like they would have much low end compared to their 8" rock.

None of this kind does low end well- the driver and enclosure are too small and the added volume of the space makes them sound weak.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

You've got to do the sub

i've done them without the sub, and they'll provide decent background music. That's about it. It's not terrible, but certainly would benefit from the sub.

I did a pair of these for a customer whose landscape just wouldn't have looked right with rocks. I fully anticipated them wanting to add the sub afterwords. The area was a little 14 x 16 outdoor breakfast nook where they sit and have coffee and read the paper. They were thrilled with the sound they got but it was more of a background ambiance situation.
One thing I have learned in this industry. It is easier to pull a wire than it is to push one.
